Biography
I was born in Chicago and from the age of 7, raised in South Florida. I have 3 brothers, all married, all living in Florida. My parents also live in South Florida.
I was brought up in a Presbyterian Church but didn't have a true relationship with Jesus Christ until my freshman year at the University of Central Florida. While at college, I played soccer with a few girls who were members of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. They invited me to attend a meeting with them; and, after running out of excuses I finally went. It wasn't long until I realized I had never given my entire life to Christ.
After accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior I began having opportunities to minister through music to youth groups in the Orlando area. I went on in 1985 and 1986 to tour with the Continental Singers, a music group that travels the world presenting the gospel. I finally felt like I was where God wanted me to be, however, I didn't realize at that time that God might call me into full time music ministry.
I worked many different jobs and I never felt fulfilled or at peace. That changed in 1996 when someone from my church approached me and asked me to start praying about going full time with a music ministry. I prayed seeking God's direction and truly felt that this was His plan and in His timing. I love what I do and I feel so blessed to be in His will and doing His work!
I really feel that God has called me to be an encourager. I love the one on one contact that happens at my concerts. Involving the audience in the worship experience is important to me. It is exciting to see how God works in people's lives and an encouragement to me when people write later to say how God spoke to them during a concert. My concerts are fun, encouraging and something for the whole family.
